Felt Flower Decorated Clothe pin Magnet

On the previous post, I mentioned about clothe pin magnet I made for my kids at school. I am going to show you how to make them. This is a different version of the magnet. I mean, the magnet I am going to make here has different embellishment. It is a felt flower decorated clothe pin magnet. This is another easy project to make.

What you need are :
a clothe pin
acrylic paint (I used dark brown)
a magnet
a felt flower embellishment plus felt leaves
glue gun

Instruction :
Color the clothe pin with the acrylic paint. Let it dry, put a side.
Attach the magnet at the back of the clothe pin, then trim off the excess (usually the magnet is wider than the clothe pin, mine is).
Using the glue gun, attach the felt flower on the right side of the clothe pin
The magnet is ready! Didn't I tell you that this is an easy one???

This magnet has a double function, it can be used a decoration  and a message holder .

Simple tags

I wanted to give something to my kids at school for the Halloween. I was thinking to make them a felt owl decorated clothe pin magnet to each of them. Last weekend I pushed myself to finish them all. They came up so cute. I clipped the magnet onto a tag.
It was so easy to make the tags. It was just a piece of orange cardstock that I cut into several smaller pieces, then I decorated them with handmade fall trees and put stickers of their initials on the center. I used paper punch from stampin'up to cut out the leaves of the trees. Here are the tags.

A Concertina Card

This month I participated in a challenge of a papercraft group on a social media network. The challenge is to make a concertina card or it is also known as accordion card. This month also a month when a very good friend of mine celebrated her birthday. I used the event to create a special card for her, A Concertina birthday card.

As it is a papercraft event, the rule is to use 75% paper as the material. I used a pink cardstock as the card base thta I folded in 3 sections. The front part of the card is layered with printed cardstock that I sew on the base, then I embellished it with my homemade embellishments which is the letter E and commercial ones. The second page is where I wrote my birthday wishes for her and the third page is a little paper pocket to put the birthday present. She loved this card so much that she put it on her table at the office :)

Hope this card can inspire all of you to create  special cards for your loved ones for their special occasions.

Finally I finished this little embroidery project. Actually, this is a project together with 2 other friends. Each of us will make an embroidered saying and one of us will put them together. It is gonna be a wallhanging as a finish project which will be given to another friend as a farewell present. Mine is an embroidered heart that I made as stems of flowers. Then I put tiny felt leaves in between flowers. I used pink shades 2 holed buttons as flowers. Curious to see it???? Here you go ...

So what do you think????

Winter Hat Makeover

After seeing 2 pairs of mittens I made for her twins, a friend asked me to makeover her winter hat. It was a plain dull black commercially knitted hat. She gave me a freedom to do whatever I wanted to do with the hat as long as there were flower or flowers and a little green color. Great!!! Flowers are always my favorite to make. So, check out what I came up with.

Work In Progress

I've bee working on a this project in beetween orders. This is gonna be a wall hanging, a felt embroidery one. I used wool blend felt for this. I am thinking to send it a friend as present when I finish it. I added ivory buttons to accentuate it, my favorite running stitch to attach my felt pieces to the background. I am planning to do some more decorative running stitch on the top and bottom part. We'll see how the finish work will be!

My tutorial on Riley Blake Designs Cutting Corners' college!

That is a pincushion that I made to participate in Riley Blake Designs Pincushion Club 2012. To participate in that event, all participants had to make an original pincushion tutorial. I thought I would give it a try, so, I signed up and got a response from Julia from Riley Blake Designs Team. She agreed with my idea and put me on January 4th, 2013 spot ...YAY ... This is what I came up with. I call it " Two flowers pincushion"
If you think that is cute and would like to try to make it, you can go to RBL site for the complete tutorial.

Have fun!!!

More handmade

One of my favorite materials to work with is polymerclay. I am a selftaught of making creations out of polymerclay, mostly miniatures. However, I also enjoy making my own jewelry using polymerclay beads. Shabby chic and victorian are my favorite styles. Whimsical is also a style I love to make. Flowers are my inspirations most of the time. Here are some of my creations.
